Newfoundland and Labrador,
Canada is home to some of the best Atlantic Salmon Rivers
in North America. Sport fishing here began back in the early
1900s and the rivers were teeming with several species of
challenging inland fish. During the 1970's Newfoundland's
rivers were being overfished and urgent conservation measures
had to be taken. Today our Rivers are as good as anywhere
in North America with thousands of Atlantic Salmon and Trout
being Angled every year. Newfoundland is home to 60% of
North America's Salmon Rivers. In fact it has more Salmon
Rivers than the remainder of Atlantic Canada and the United
States combined.

too many rivers in this beautiful province to even begin
