Fishing prices for Atlantic
Salmon, Brook trout or Arctic Char in Newfoundland and Labrador
may vary considerably depending on location. Generally a 6
day sportfishing package on the island will cost sportsmen
between $1200 and $1500. This would include guide, lodging,
meals, and transportation to lodge. An helicopter fly-in sportfishing
package would cost a minimum of $2000.
In Labrador fishing prices are somewhat higher
due to the remoteness of the lodges and the limited number
of outfitters. Labrador, however is world renown for its
production of trophy class fish and first class sportfishing
lodges. A 6 day sportfishing package here would be in the
range of $3000. The island of Newfoundland also has first
class sportfishing lodges but are generally less remote
than those in Labrador.
Newfoundland has some fishing
lodges that are wilderness type and a little rustic. Fishing
prices at some of these lodges would cost sportsmen a little
less than in the first class resort type lodges.
