The caribou hunting area has an excellent
population of Woodland Caribou. When the rut is underway we often
see herds numbering over 50. Average trophy bull Woodland Caribou score
between 275 to 290 Boone and Crockett, with many bulls scoring over 300
Boone and Crockett points. Caribou hunting is arguably North Americas
best hunting value when measured by the size of the horns, the scenery
and numbers of animals" .
Our Caribou are generally found at elevations
of 2500 to 3500 feet. The country is wide open with lots of opportunities
for glassing and stocking big bulls. Most of the hunting will be done
by spot and stalk hunting from one of our caribou camps.
Your shooting distance will vary from 50-300
yards. You should have your rifle sighted in 2-3 inches high at one hundred
yards and be familiar with the trajectory of your rifle at a variety of
distances. All hunts will be conducted in the spirit of fair chase. Our
high success rate does not imply easy hunting, it simply means we hunt
hard and have an excellent population of trophy animals to hunt.
