All six of our hunting
lodges are located on the Southwest coast of Newfoundland with the
exception of one located in Moose Management area (MMA) 3 on the
Northern Peninsula.
If you plan to fly
to Newfoundland, we suggest you arrive at Stephenville airport.
This is the nearest airport and is located about an hours drive
from our base camp. We will pick you up there and bring you to our
base camp. From there our aircraft will be used to transport you
to one of our remote hunting lodges.
If you would rather
drive to Newfoundland, we suggest you take the car ferry in North
Sydney, Nova Scotia (preferably the night crossing). From there
you will arrive in Port Aux Basque on the southwest tip of the Island.
Take the Trans Canada Highway East to Burgeo Junction and then take
Burgeo highway south to our base camp at Peter Strides Lake. This
trip will take you about two and half (2 1/2) hours. We will gladly
meet you at our base camp.
*NOTE:
In Newfoundand it is illegal to hunt on Sunday, therefore the duration
of your hunt will be six days.
